KINGSTON, JAMAICA – September 11, 2024 – The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) proudly commends Taj Melbourne, Jamaica’s 2024 Junior Minister of Tourism, for his outstanding representation at the Caribbean Tourism Organization’s (CTO) State of the Tourism Industry Conference (SOTIC) held from September 4-6, 2024, in the Cayman Islands.

SOTIC 2024, themed ‘Caribbean Tourism – Fueling our Lifeblood’, brings together regional and global tourism leaders to address critical issues shaping the Caribbean tourism sector.

Melbourne, a 16-year-old student from Manning’s School, participated in the Tropical Shipping Regional Youth Congress, a key component of SOTIC, on September 5. He captivated the audience with his innovative approach, opening his presentation on The Blue Economy with a song.
