The Island Once Again Ranks in the prestigious ‘Caribbean & The Atlantic’ Category

KINGSTON, JAMAICA, October 7, 2025 – Jamaica, one of the world’s leading island travel destinations, has ranked among the “Top Islands” in the 2025 Conde Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards in the competitive ‘The Caribbean & The Atlantic’ category. Following last year’s recognition as a top 10 island, Jamaica continued its momentum by securing the number 7 spot in this year’s awards. The island also announced several of its hotels and resorts were also recognized in this year’s awards.

“Jamaica’s consistent ranking among travelers’ favorite Caribbean islands in Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards reflects how deeply visitors connect with our people, culture, and island,” said the Hon. Edmund Bartlett, Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism. “We are honored by this recognition and proud that, with direct air service from 55 international gateways, Jamaica is the most connected destination in the region, making it easier than ever for travelers to visit the island they love.”

In addition to Jamaica’s ranking as a destination, several hotels and resorts were voted to be among the best. Jamaica Inn (Ocho Rios) took the #4 spot in the ‘Best Hotels in the Caribbean and Central America’ category, where S Hotel Montego Bay placed #5 and S Hotel Kingston placed #7. In the ‘Best Resorts in the Caribbean’ category, Sandals Dunn’s River (Ocho Rios) placed #24, Sandals South Coast (Whitehouse) placed #31, Rockhouse Hotel & Spa (Negril) placed #38, Sandals Royal Plantation Ocho Rios placed #39 and Couples Sans Souci Resort (Ocho Rios) placed #40.

“To once again see Jamaica ranked among the top ten islands in Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards is an extraordinary acknowledgment of the outstanding service of our people and the natural beauty of our island,” said Donovan White, Jamaica’s Director of Tourism. “We want every visitor to our beloved island to enjoy their best-ever vacation. Through close collaboration with our valued tourism partners, including our world-class hotels and resorts, we remain committed to delivering on that promise.”

More than 757,109 votes were cast in Conde Nast Traveler’s 38th annual Readers’ Choice Awards survey, rating their travel experiences across the globe on the top places they enjoyed this year and can’t wait to return to next. The Readers’ Choice Awards are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry. This year’s full list of winners can be found here.
