Mr. Philipp Hofer, has more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including 25 years with the Spanish hotel group Iberostar. A native of Austria, he studied at the School of Tourism and Business Administration in Klessheim and has continued to update his professional training throughout his career. As General Manager with Iberostar, Mr. Hofer held senior leadership roles across Mexico, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Aruba, and Jamaica. For the past 17 years, he played a key role in Iberostar’s expansion in Jamaica and later served as Director of Operations for all Iberostar properties in Jamaica and Aruba until 2024. In 2011, Mr. Hofer was appointed General Manager of Inverotel Group Jamaica, the Spanish Hotel Investment Association, representing all Spanish hotel groups operating in Jamaica. In recognition of his contribution to Jamaica’s tourism industry, Mr. Hofer was awarded the Order of Distinction in the rank of Officer (Honorary). In June 2024, Mr. Hofer joined RCD Hotels as Regional Director of Operations, supporting the development of hotel investment in Jamaica. Mr. Hofer currently serves as a Director on the Jamaica Tourist Board and is a member of the JTB/JHTA Marketing Committee.
