Travel agents join in the fun at Notting Hill Carnival after winning a chance to perform with the Jamaican Twist band in a competition run by the Jamaica Tourist Board in Travel Weekly. This year’s carnival theme was ‘Ackee and Saltfish’ representing the national dish of  Jamaica. Female participants dressed in shimmering gold and bronze ‘ackee’ costumes. The agents were joined by finalists from the Miss Jamaica UK pageant as well as male performers dressed in magnificent costumes including the blue Saltfish, the Doctor Bird (Jamaica’s national bird) and Anansi spider.
