The annual High Mountain Coffee Race staged by the Jamaica Standard Products Company Limited (producers of High Mountain Coffee) is among the largest and most arduous yet popular road races in Jamaica. Held in the parish of Manchester, the race starts just above the overhead bridge at Williamsfield, up the steeper parts of the Winston Jones Highway, Kendal and Shooters Hill and ends at the roundabout near WINDALCO’s head office at Kirkvine. The High Mountain Race began in 1983 and draws hundreds of local and regional supporters. This year’s event will be held on January 31.
