Ocho Rios will host the fourth biennial gathering of the Jamaica Diaspora in 2010. The Jamaican Diaspora Convention will be held from June 14 – 17, at the Sunset Jamaica Grande. The theme for the event is Partnering for Transformation: Jamaica and its Diaspora. The Convention will bring together government agencies and Diaspora representatives from the major cities in which Jamaicans reside overseas. The conference is held biennially and aims to bring Jamaicans together to plan activities and discuss issues of interest to the Diaspora.
